I started photography on my mom’s Canon AE1 film camera. It had sat on my shelf for years; I thought it looked cool. One day she asked if I knew it worked. I’ve been enjoying the process and it’s connection to memory since. More specifically, I feel film reframes time in units of 36 photos –– whether that be a roll finished in a day, a week-long trip, or capturing months of moments here and there across months.
